This website has changed a lot over the years. You may have known it as Deepest Health, as Whole Life Practitioner, as Chinese Medicine Quarterly, as Chinese Medicine Central, or even (if you’re VERY old school) as Ericgrey.com. Ultimately, in every iteration, it has been a space for me to explore the East Asian medicine professions & my place within them.
Now, in 2022, it’s undergone a new transformation – one that ends the cycle of transformations it has been in since 2007 when I first wrote a blog post about Chinese medical theory. The cycle ends for two reasons. First, the website is no longer about me alone. I now share this space with my wife and business partner, Amanda Barp. Second, I’m now turning my focus more completely to non-clinical topics. I’ve always written and taught about Chinese medicine business, about ethics for acupuncturists, about how to study and practice the medicine with integrity and similar topics.
But in the last 5 years, those topics and many more have become more or less my sole focus in study and in my thoughts. In 2020, when Amanda and I first started talking about doing business consulting and coaching together, that trend intensified. The more I allowed myself to pursue my curiosities about organizational development and business excellence, the more I felt it right to spend time & energy there.
So – while the Deepest Health URL, branding and language is still readily apparent, you’ll see that fading out as 2022 continues. Amanda and I are letting this develop organically, which often means following the ebb and flow of our running of our own business, so this will not be a linear or sudden change.
